COOL CHANGE

The only thing that doesn't change is change itself.

Millions of people are afraid to make changes in their lives. Do'nt want to make changes with ourselves because we are scared that the new us. Physically, we don't want to change because we are already comfortable to our old selves. In our workplace or even in school, we don't to change any of our process because we think it's difficult. Yes,it is difficult because we will not be following anymore  the steps that we are used to. We will look different and we feel different. I just noticed that these changes that we are scared of are improvements. Improvements to our jobs to make our tasks easier and to make us more efficient. Improvements to ourselves so that we feel better and look best. Changes are made because maybe the ones that we have or do now is not anymore OK. Not anymore useful or not pleasing to the eyes. If we don't adapt to change we may loose something. That something can be your job or the person you love. The worst is you loose your self and your happiness. People they say cannot be contented. So to satisfy that need to be content is for us to change. A very good example is our cellphone.  When we first got it, we like it very much. Wherever we go we have our cellphone with us. We brag on its featues and compare it to others. But months passed, did you notice that you don't care for your phone anymore? I mean you get bored with its features. Weird isn't it? Few months after you have your new phone, you want to have a new one. The one that has more features sleek designs and more. Why are we doing this? For fashion? For something new? For self satisfaction? Name it. But i know you have your own reason. My point here is when you get your new one, you still study your new phone right? You change the settings. You personalize it. You try learn how to type your text messages faster than your old style. But you can never deny that you also have a hard time adapting to your new phone right? Here's the thing, this is the very same scenario that is happening whenever there are major changes in our lives. From typewriter to computer, from bulky televisions to flat screens, from kalesa to cars. There are a lot. At first we are scared to try these new things, but to our suprise they made our lives easier. The first step is always difficult. But then again when you get used to the new one it will be as easy as eating camote. I sound little preachy, eh? Well, i just had this kind of realization  when i started revising our four year old manual here in the office. Its really a tedious job. But then again, the change I'm doing is for the benefit of everyone. Always go for change. CHANGE FOR THE BETTER AND NOT FOR THE WORST.

Interview with an Angel

My topic for my class today is all about job interviews. Creating resume, interview tips and how to answer FAQ's. Having an interview is the scariest moment for an applicant. Scared that they might not get accepted. Scared because they don't know what to say. Luckily for me, I never experience that kind of feeling when I applied for my first job. It is because I was interviewed on the spot. I didn't had the chance to accommodate the feeling. Hahaha.... Boy that was easy. The position I applied was for a call center agent. Hmmnn that was three or four years ago. Yes, they did ask me some questions but I didn't have any difficulty in answering those questions. It is because all of the questions are all about myself. I have been in a relationship with myself since the day I was born so was able to answer everything well. Everything went smoothly. To my surprise the interviewer just shook my hand and said "Welcome to the company." Easy isn't it? Well, the thing is during the interview I was relaxed. That's what applicants should do during their interviews. They just need to relax so that they can concentrate, focus and can think better and fast. All the questions are all about ourselves so it's very impossible that we don't know the answer. But well of course I can't really blame others if they get nervous. It's normal. However, they must also realize that it's scarier not to have a job rather than having an interview. Right?
